BLOCK Cos., general contractor for the Cowan Place senior living community, is host of an virtual Pre-Bid Conference at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, 2021, on WebEx. Cowan Place is Phase 1 of the Stop Six Choice Neighborhood Initiative.

The Pre-Bid Conference is not mandatory. During the conference, BLOCK representatives will review the bid process for Cowan Place, a 174-unit, four-story residential community with wood framing and concrete slab-on-grade construction. Community amenities include a community room, billiards room, library, theater and a yoga and fitness room.

BLOCK is soliciting Specialty Subcontractor and Material Supplier competitive bid proposals, including from City of Fort Worth M/WBE and Section 3 businesses. Firms located in the following counties are encouraged to bid on this project: Tarrant, Dallas, Denton, Parker, Johnson and Wise. The development has participation goals of 25% M/WBE and 10% Section 3 businesses.
Bid Proposals shall be submitted in accordance with instructions to bidders on or before 11 a.m. Tuesday March 16, 2021. Submit bid proposals to BLOCK Builders, LLC via email to each estimator listed for the trade you are bidding on.
All subcontractors must complete the BLOCK Subcontractors Information Form available here and submit with their bid.
