Section 3 Business Toolkit Workshop

This presentation will provide guidance and applicable resources to apply for the Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Section 3 program. dlb Consultants is providing consulting services for the Cowan Place senior living community development, Phase 1 of the Stop Six Choice Neighborhood Initiative. The session will be led by Demetria Bivens, dlb principal.
Section 3 is a provision of the Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Act of 1968 that helps foster local economic development, neighborhood economic improvement and individual self-sufficiency.
HUD’s Section 3 Program requires recipients of the agency’s financial assistance, including Fort Worth Housing Solutions, to make a concerted effort to hire and contract with Section 3-eligible individuals and business concerns with a focus on qualifications, cost, and insurance/bonding requirements as priority considerations when selecting employees and contractors.
